This is a really simple and easy way to clean your cast iron after cooking.
While still hot, or reheated, pour in salt.
Scrub the pan with a papertowel HELD IN TONGS
The salt will turn darker as it cleans, just keep going, sometimes I’ve had to add more salt
Dump out, and rinse with hot water.
That’s it. This simple method can help to save from more intense maintenance, and especially save the seasoning on the pan by not washing it off.
